Oh, but why would you? The number of buildings in the game was designed to provide a perfect balance, removing buildings would affect in in a negative way, so this option isn't available.
Besides, it's all about designing your world: if you think that some building doesn't belong in your town, you can simply move it away, maybe even on a deserted island!
